Father - Denis Vladimirovich Kashin, born in 1972, has lived since birth in the city of Tolyatti.

In sports, Denis was involved since early childhood. Early on, he participated in track and field athletics, and at 10 years of age became interested in skiing. Denis has participated in cross-country and other types of ski races since then until today, and at the « The Ski track of Russia » every year takes part in the All-Russia competitions.

Denis works in the development of real estate and construction where, certainly, it is very uneasy for him to combine work and other free time which he devotes to daughter Valery's coaching. Denis has recently begun his own electrical contracting company, which is involved in some of the many ongoing construction projects in Toliatti.

While coach Andrey Boborykin teaches Valeria lessons specifically suited to gain tennis skills, Denis caoches Lira regarding her overall physical conditioning (running, strength exercises, fitness, navigation, skis).
